Ingredients
  • 3slices white Pullman loafabout 1/2-inch thick
  • 3tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1/2tablespoon mustardoptional
  • 2large leaves greenleaf lettuce
  • 3ounces cooked turkey breast meatthickly sliced
  • 6strips thick-cut baconcooked until crisp
  • 1large beefsteak tomatoessliced, about 6 ounces
  • a/n coarse salt
  • a/n black pepper

Instructions
  1. Toast bread in 2 batches over medium heat, about 5 minutes, turning once halfway through cooking.
  2. Spread one side of each bread slice with mayonnaise and mustard.
  3. Arrange 1 lettuce leaf on 1 piece of mayo-mustard-spread toast.
  4. Top with turkey, and 3 slices of bacon. Then another piece of toast, then lettuce, bacon, and tomatoes.
  5. Season tomatoes with salt and pepper.
  6. Top with remaining slices of toast and secure each with 4 frill picks.
  7. Cut each sandwich in quarters.
  8. Serve.
