Ingredients
  • 1loaf Cuban breadFrench or Italian Bread
  • 1tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 4slices dill pickles
  • 5slices boiled hamthinly sliced
  • 2slices roast pork(see recipe)
  • 1slice Swiss cheese
  • 1ounce butter

Instructions
  1. Cut Cuban bread to desired size, common size is 7 inches and slice in half,
  2. On the topside of the bread spread mustard, evenly across.
  3. Place 4 pickle slices on top of the mustard.
  4. Place 1 slice of Swiss cheese on top of the pickles.
  5. Fold each slice of ham in half and place evenly on bottom of bread.
  6. On top of the ham, place slices of roast pork
  7. Close both halves of the sandwich.
  8. Preheat a sandwich grill. Or use a skillet and dutch oven to press sandwich down.
  9. Spread butter on top of the bread evenly.
  10. Close the grill, compressing the sandwich.
  11. Leave sandwich in the grill until top of bread turns to a golden brown, and top is crisp.
  12. Approximate time is 4 to 6 minutes.
  13. After the sandwich is crispy and the cheese has melted, remove the sandwich carefully and slice it diagonally, from corner to corner.
