Ingredients
  • 10 tomatoeschopped
  • 1/2tsp mustard seeds
  • 2tsp gingerchopped
  • 2ea garlic clovescrushed
  • 2tsp oil
  • 10 ea basil, dried leaves
  • 1ea lime zestedzest from one lime
  • 1/2tsp red chilli powder
  • 2tsp vinegar
  • 3tsp sugar
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper- to taste

Instructions
  1. In a wok (kadhai) add oil. Add mustard seeds, basil leaves, ginger, garlic.
  2. Once cooked, add tomatoes. Let the tomatoes cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Now add sugar, salt, vinegar, red chilli powder and pepper.
  4. Cook this till the tomatoes are soft and squishy. Serve with idli, dosa and vada.
