Ingredients
  • 3tablespoons sugar
  • 3tablespoons water
  • 3tablespoons white rice wine vinegar
  • 1tablespoon crushed dried red pepper
  • 2teaspoons minced fresh garlic
  • 1tablespoon minced scallion
  • 1tablespoon ketchp
  • 2tablespoons fish sauce

Instructions
  1. Combine the sugar, water, vinegar, and dried red pepper in a small nonreactive saucepan. Heat just to boil and then cool to room temperature
  2. Stir in the remaining ingredients
  3. Taste and correct the seasoning to achieve a sweet-tart-salty flavor balance.
