Garlic Knots

Yield: Makes about 20 knots.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 1/4 cup garlic butter

Directions:

  1. Set the pizza dough out at room temperature for about 1 hour.
  2. Roll a small piece of dough into a ball.
  3. Roll the ball into a 1” thick rope.
  4. Cut the rope into 5” long pieces.
  5. Tie each piece into a knot.
  6. Set each knot down on a baking sheet.
  7. Brush each knot with a little olive oil. 
  8. Loosely cover them with plastic wrap. 
  9. Place in a warm area and let them rise until doubled in size.
  10. Preheat the oven to 400°.
  11. Bake the knots until browned,12-15 minutes.
  12. Brush with garlic butter and serve warm.
