These terms apply to your use of The Student Chef website and its paid memberships. Please read them before subscribing.
1. Membership and free previews
The Student Chef provides online cooking lessons, recipes, and educational materials. Day 1 of each class is offered as a free preview. A paid membership provides access to the subscriber-only class content available on the site. Free previews do not automatically enroll you in a paid subscription.
2. Pricing and automatic renewal
Monthly membership costs US $7.99 per month. Annual membership costs US $79.99 per year, billed in one payment. Any applicable tax is shown at checkout. The first payment is due when you subscribe. By completing a paid subscription checkout, you authorize recurring charges at your selected monthly or annual rate until you cancel. Payments are processed through Stripe. Keep your payment and contact information current.
3. Cancellation
You may cancel future renewals through your Membership Account. Select your membership and follow the cancellation prompts before your next renewal date to avoid the next charge. Review the cancellation confirmation for the date your access ends. Canceling does not automatically refund a payment already made.
4. Refunds
Refunds are not automatic. Requests are reviewed individually based on the circumstances, including billing errors or access problems. A refund is not guaranteed unless required by applicable law. Nothing in these terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights.
5. Your account and permitted use
Provide accurate account information and keep your login details private. Membership is for your personal use; do not share, resell, or transfer your account. You may use recipes and lessons for your own learning and cooking. Do not copy, republish, sell, or distribute the site’s protected materials without permission, except as permitted by law. Do not attempt to bypass access controls or interfere with the website.
6. Cooking and food safety
Content is provided for general culinary education. Use appropriate food-handling practices, safe cooking temperatures, and care with knives, heat, and equipment. Check ingredients for allergens and suitability for your needs. Content is not individualized medical or dietary advice, and results may vary.
7. Content and availability
Lessons and features may be updated, and access may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance or technical issues. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or particular educational or professional results. Third-party websites and services linked from the site have their own terms.
8. Account restrictions
Access may be suspended for failed payments, account sharing, misuse, or a material breach of these terms. Contact us if you believe a restriction was applied in error. Any action remains subject to applicable consumer law.
9. Changes to these terms or prices
We may update these terms and will identify the effective date here. Material changes affecting a paid membership, including price changes, will be communicated before taking effect where required. You may cancel future renewals if you do not wish to continue.
10. Questions and billing concerns
Keep your order confirmation and include your account email and order number when contacting The Student Chef about a membership or refund. Do not send passwords or full payment card details.
